Massage Therapy

Registered Massage Therapy in Mississauga

Therapeutic massage delivered by Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs), members of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. We accept direct billing from most extended-health insurers and from auto-insurance accident-benefit plans.

RMTs are regulated health professionals in Ontario. The receipt you get from us is the same receipt your insurer needs — for direct billing or for reimbursement. Massage is a clinical tool, not a spa service: each session is built around an assessment and treatment goals.

Approaches we offer

  • Deep tissue. Higher-pressure work focused on chronic muscle tension and adhesions; common for low back, neck and shoulder presentations.
  • Swedish / general therapeutic. A balanced session combining effleurage, petrissage and friction; effective for stress-related tension and pre/post-event recovery.
  • Trigger point therapy. Sustained pressure on myofascial trigger points referring pain elsewhere — for example, the trapezius point that refers to the temple.
  • Sports and soft-tissue. Pre-event, post-event and recovery work for athletes and active patients.
  • Post-MVA soft-tissue. Co-delivered with your physiotherapist and chiropractor as part of your whiplash and soft-tissue rehab.

What to expect

Your first session opens with a brief assessment — relevant history, areas of pain, the depth and style you prefer, contraindications. The treatment itself runs 30, 45, 60, 75 or 90 minutes depending on what we have planned. You stay in control: pressure adjusts as you ask. Patients with post-accident anxiety often start with shorter sessions and build up.

Conditions and goals we work with

  • Post-MVA whiplash, soft-tissue strain and mid-back tension
  • Chronic neck pain, tension-type headache
  • Low back muscular pain, paraspinal tightness
  • Shoulder and rotator-cuff overuse
  • Hip flexor and gluteal tightness, sciatic-referred pain
  • Plantar fasciitis, calf tightness, runner’s leg
  • Stress and sleep-disruption presentations

Pregnancy and post-natal massage (with appropriate positioning)

Frequently asked questions

Auto-insurance accident benefits, WSIB (when authorised) and most extended-health plans cover RMT receipts. Direct billing supported for many insurers.

Not for direct booking. Some extended-health plans require a doctor's note before reimbursing — we will tell you if yours does.

Depends on the goal. Acute injury: weekly. Post-MVA rehab: 1–2 times per week. Maintenance for chronic pain: every 2–4 weeks.

Tell your RMT. Pressure is always adjusted to your tolerance — deep work is a means, not the goal.
